Founded in 1976 by Jeff Hewitson, the Prime Time Shootout has grown from a regional
invitational to the top high school basketball tournament in the country, showcasing
40 perennial powerhouse teams from across the United States. Labeled “the best high
school hoops event in the nation” by esteemed Eddie Oliver of Hoops USA, the PrimeTime
Shootout has been featured in many news sources including Sports Illustrated and Slam Magazine.
