Shooting for the top
The February 2008 event featured 16 of the top 25 teams in the country, including Oak Hill Academy where high school and college phenom and NBA star Carmelo Anthony excelled during his high school career. Oak Hill Academy finished the 2007 season ranked #1 in the United States by USA Today and annually draws a large crowd and media presence wherever they travel. Their #1 ranking is highly contested in 2008 by some of New Jersey's finest basketball programs, namely, St. Anthony's, St. Patrick's and St. Benedict's, all of whom played at Rutgers University on Friday, February 8th, 2008.

Cheering crowds and countless viewers
For four days, the Prime Time Shootout drew thousands of spectators to the Pavilion on the campus of Villanova, to the RAC on the campus of Rutgers and to the Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton, N.J. The annual event, which featured a number of extremely competitive and exciting games, attracted top print, broadcast, and web-based media, including many games broadcast on CN8 and ESPN.

Benefiting Children's Specialized Hospital
In 2008, the Prime Time Shootout again benefited Children's Specialized Hospital. Children's Specialized Hospital, the largest pediatric rehabilitation hospital in the country, provides expert, loving care to children and adolescents with special needs, from birth through 21 years of age. We thank the players, coaches, sponsors and volunteers who made the 2008 Prime Time Shootout a success! Stay tuned for the schedule and match-ups for 2009.
